Atlanta Based, and Proud of It
We love being a part of the Atlanta tech ecosystem. Our founder, Samar Shah, grew up in Atlanta and recalls seeing the city transform from a collection of loosely stitched together disparate neighborhoods to a tech hub powerhouse. We may have been previously known for Coca-Cola (Discover Real Magic | Coca-Cola®), Home Depot (The Home Depot), or CNN (CNN - Breaking News, Latest News and Videos). But we, as a collective tech ecosystem, owe a big thanks to David Cummings, who started the Atlanta Tech Village (Atlanta's Startup Hub | Atlanta Tech Village) after selling his startup, Pardot, for $95 million (Atlanta's Pardot acquired by ExactTarget for about $100M - Atlanta Business Chronicle (bizjournals.com)). Also, big shout out to Ben Chestnut of MailChimp (Marketing, Automation & Email Platform | Mailchimp), Tope Awotona of Calendly (Free Online Appointment Scheduling Software | Calendly), and Sara Blakely of Spanx (https://spanx.com/) for putting Atlanta on the startup map. But that doesn’t mean we should rest on our laurels. According to Inc.’s ranking on “surge cities,” Atlanta ranks number 18 on the list of “Best Places in America for Starting a Business.” (The 50 Best U.S. Cities for Starting a Business in 2020 | Inc.com).
