Jamie is a former Patent Examiner with over 20 years of experience in preparing and examining U.S and foreign patent applications. During her time at the USPTO, Jamie specialized in semiconductor devices and methods of making semiconductor devices. Jamie’s current practice is focused on protecting medical devices and mechanical apparatuses.
Within the medical device practice area, Jamie has prosecuted patents related to various devices and treatment systems, including cytological imaging and analysis systems, biopsy devices, intrauterine treatment devices, stent assemblies and delivery, robotically controlled catheter navigation systems, RF tumor ablation devices, vaso-occlusive devices and materials, and neuromodulation devices
Within the mechanical arts, Jamie has prosecuted patents related to household devices, sports equipment, football helmets, seismic isolation systems, and berm and filter devices.
When clients work with Jamie and Samar, they often remark that: Jamie is the realist, and Samar is the optimist.
Interesting fact: Jamie is an avid crocheter and proud owner of a 1972 VW Karmann Ghia named "Jolene."
